Client Testimonial

"I have found Tanya to be extremely professional and patient. In times of extreme desperation her guidance and calm, yet informative approach is the perfect balance to productive counselling and long term resolution/clarity.

I never feel pressurised to share or judged that I cannot share and that is extremely important to me.

She has been a key part to my journey and I highly recommend her."

We all deserve to be heard, to be given the time to recognise our value and reclaim ourselves.

Do you feel like no-one understands how hard you try, you’re exhausted by holding everything together or constantly having to hide parts of who you are? This may sound familiar if you’re neurodivergent, have ADHD or are Autistic, are parenting a neurodivergent child, living with low self esteem or anxiety or healing from past trauma. Whatever the reason, therapy can help you replenish yourself, increase your confidence and create a life you truly love living.

Does it seem like no matter how much you do, it’s never enough, your own needs and identity are constantly sidelined? Perhaps you’re drained, disconnected, and starting to feel resentful. Like you’re surviving each day rather than truly living?

If this resonates with you or you’re looking for compassionate, understanding and inclusive counselling please get in touch.  As a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist, I offer welcoming and inclusive counselling where your unique experiences and perspectives are honoured.  It may have been a long time since you were truly heard, since you were able to speak without fear of judgement.  My clients have sought counselling for many reasons including:

  • Low self-esteem and anxiety
  • Neurodivergence including ADHD and autism
  • Parenting neurodivergent children
  • Managing the weight of stigma, rejection, masking and the constant pressure to conform
  • Chronic overwhelm
  • Trauma
  • Life Transitions
  • Perimenopause and menopause

About Counselling

Counselling isn’t just about sitting down and having a chat, and it’s not only for when you feel like you can no longer cope. It offers you a space where you can truly be yourself, without pressure to meet anyone else’s expectations. It’s time set aside just for you, to reflect, grow, and make lasting changes that lead to a calmer, more fulfilling life.

Counselling can help you:

  • Increase your resilience to cope with and challenge a world that expects you and your loved ones to conform instead of celebrating who you are.

  • Develop practical tools to recover from overwhelm, burnout and sensory overload, and your daily challenges, so you have more energy and capacity for the people and activities you love.

  • Realise your self worth, develop your self confidence and increase your self compassion so you can create the life you want.

  • Find connection so you feel less alone, more accepted and find healthier and more supportive relationships.

Many of us feel held back by past patterns and limiting beliefs. Through our work together, we can break through these barriers, creating space for meaningful change in the present moment. This journey will allow you to discover what truly matters to you, so you can live a more fulfilled life with greater self-awareness, resilience, and joy.

Specialisms

 Neurodivergence

I also bring extensive experience of  neurodiversity, including ADHD and Autism, and have worked with neurodivergent adults, as well as parents and caregivers of neurodivergent children. I deeply understand the complexities of navigating the world as a neurodivergent person and offer a safe space where you can explore both the challenges and strengths that come with this experience, while being your authentic self.

Stress

Having spent years in a high-pressure corporate environment, I deeply understand the stress, overwhelm, and burnout that can come from juggling multiple responsibilities. I’m here to help you manage those pressures, regain balance, and move forward with clarity, confidence, and resilience.

About Me

I am a fully qualified, BACP registered counsellor and psychotherapist. I have years of experience in counselling, the NHS and schools.

I started my private practice because I know how deeply painful it is to feel unseen, misunderstood or shamed, whether it's you or your child being asked to "just try harder" in a world that won’t adapt. I've seen how this impacts confidence, relationships, and happiness.  I know how transformative it can be to have someone truly listen, to be met with understanding rather than judgement

I have supported many clients to make changes, challenge the negative messages, to recognise their unique strengths, value themselves and develop the confidence to create a fulfilling life. I’d love to help you too.

Previous clients have told me that therapy helped them feel more accepted and understood, heal from past pain and trauma, become calmer, more resilient and emotionally regulated. They developed greater confidence in their uniqueness and recognised their self worth.
